Balochi Balaas | Mutton with Rice Recipe
Today we are sharing Balochi Balaas(Mutton with Rice Recipe) by Cook with Erum.
Ingredients:
1. Mutton 1/2 kg
2. Ginger 1tsp
3. Garlic 1tsp
4. Turmeric powder 2tsp
5. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
6. Whole mixed spices
7. Salt to taste
8. Kavra few drops
9. Saffron a little
10. Yellow food colour
11. Onions 3 large
12. Tomatoes 2 medium
13. Yoghurt 1 cup
14. Potatoes
15. Rice 1 kg
16.Green spices(coriander ,green chilli,spring onions)
Method:
Soak the rice for half an hour.
Take half a cup of cooking oil heat it and add Onions.
Golden brown the onions take out of oil and put aside.
Now add mutton, salt, ginger &garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and yoghurt in the same oil and fry on medium flame.
Now add water as much as needed to tender the mutton properly for 15-20 minutes.
Then fry it for a while.
Slice the potatoes into large pieces and add in mutton cover till cooked.
Take a wok and boil water with salt and whole spices in it to boil the rice.
Boil the rice till 90% cooked and then rinse the water and put it aside.
Now let’s start mixing the first layer of the rice in the bottom add cooked mutton then add fried onions, round sliced tomatoes, saffron, food colour,kavera and green spices.
Put the lid and leave on low flow flame for 5-10 minutes.
Balochi Balaas is ready to serve with green sauce and salad it is more like biryani but has a unique taste.
