Beef with Potato Curry (Aloo Ghosht)
Beef with Potato is a famous dish. It is usually served by roasting or Grilling meat and Potato but In this recipe, we are making a special beef with potato curry. This recipe is also called Allo Gosht in Pakistan and India. You can also put chicken or mutton but beef meat adds more flavor and taste.
Ingredients for making Beef with Potato Curry (Aloo Ghosht)
1. Beef (1 kg)
2. Potato (1/2 kg)
3. Red chilies (1 tsp)
4. Salt (to taste)
5. Turmeric powder (1 tsp)
6. Cumin Seed (1 tsp)
7. Coriander (1 tsp)
8. Dry plum (3)
9. Black Cardomom (1)
10. Cinamon sticks (1-2)
11. Onions (2)
12. Green Chilies (2)
13. Yogurt (1 cup)
Method:
Step 1: Take some oil in a pan or cooker heat it for a while and add beef in it fry it until beef changes the color now add some water and boil or pressurize the beef till cooked.
Step 2: Take a blender and blend yogurt red and green chilies and make a paste
Step 3: Take another wok or pan add some oil put the chopped onions and fry till they get pink. Add ginger-garlic paste, bay leaves, dry plums, black cardamom and fry them on medium flame now add cumin seed and crushed coriander stir for a while.
Step4-Now add yogurt paste and mix well. Add boiled beef and potatoes mix well let it absorb the gravy for 2 minutes then add some water and cook them for 15 minutes on medium flame till potatoes tender. Add little water to make gravy(optional).
Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves/Green onion and Garam Masala (Mixed Spice Masala) to garnish.
