Best Spicy Crunchy Pakora for Iftaar:
Pakora is a very favorite Asian dish severed as a snack on tea time or as a delightful handy meal in rainy or cold weather. Pokhara is also called Posada. But Pakora is most commonly used in Ramzan as an Iftaar time snack or meal. There are many types of Pakora made by vegetable and meat both but vegetable Pakora are the most common and easy one.
Ingredients:
1. Gram Flour (1/3 kg)(3-4 cups)
2. Onions (4 sliced)
3. Potatoes (2 sliced)
4. Mint leaves (25-30)
5. Coriander (1 bunch chopped)
6. Salt (1 tsp or to taste)
7. Red chili powder (1 tsp)
8. Turmeric powder (1 tsp)
9. Cumin (1 tsp)
10. Coriander crushed (2 tsp)
11. Ajwain (1 tsp)
12. Spanish (5-10 leaves) (optional)
13. Curry leaves (10-15 leaves)
14. Oil (2 cups)(for frying)
Method:
In a large bowl add sliced onions, potatoes, and gram flour. Mix all and add a cup of water or as much as needed to make a fine batter or paste. Now add mint leaves, coriander leaves, and all the spices. Mix well to make a fine batter or paste.
In a deep pan heat the oil and add 1 tsp of gram flour batter fry it and taste to check if spices are all right. Add spices according to your taste.
Once the batter is checked start frying Pakora adding spoon by spoon. Fry till golden brown.
Once ready serve with Imli sauce, ketchup or green sauce.
