Chicken Haleem Recipe|Degi Chicken Haleem|Daleem
Haleem is a traditional dish. It was started years back and has groomed in taste with time. It is excellent in taste and is served in the normal daily menu and also commercially. Mostly is served with roti/naan. It is the combination of both lentils and meat. Must try this recipe at home
Ingredients:
1.Daal Chana(chickpea lentil)(5 cups)
2.Daal Maash white(split black lentil)(1 cup)
3.Rice(1 cup)
4.Porridge(1 cup)
5.Chicken(1 kg)
6.Cinnamon sticks(3 large)
7.Garlic(6 cloves)
8.Salt(1 tsp)
9.Garam masala(1 tsp)
10.Chili powder(1 tsp)
11.Cumin(1 tsp)
12 . Chili akes (1 tsp)
13.Black Pepper(1 tsp)
14. Water(3 litres)
Method:
Take 5 cups of Daal Channa and 1 cup of Daal Maash.Wash and soak for 3 hrs (at least). Take 1 cup of rice wash and soak. In a large wok/Pateela add soaked daal (lentils). Now add 3 litres of water. Add 3 large cinnamon sticks. Start cooking on medium flame. Remove the white foam from the lentils while cooking. Add the soaked rice. Take 1/2 cup oil in a separate wok. Add 1 Kg chicken in it & fry. Cover to cook. When chicken leaves its water out add 6 cloves of garlic. Cover and cook till extra water is absorbed
