Chicken Kachori Recipe
Chicken Kachori is a special dish prepared in the holy month of Ramadan. Kachori is also made at any tea party as a special dish on normal days. It’s more like a round chicken pastry. Kachori is crispy and spicy but very tasty and aromatic. We are sharing a crispy Chicken Keema Kachori also known as Lahori Kachori including the preparation of Kachori filling, kachori dough, and making and frying of chicken kachori. Kachori filling is made with chicken keema or meat of chicken, beef, or mutton so it’s very high in energy.Chicken or Keema Kachori is mostly cooked and served during Ramadan. You can also consider this recipe as Ramdan Special Keema Kachori. Ingredients for Kochari Filling
1/2 KG boneless Chicken meat
½ KG Cabbage
¼ Kg Onions
5-7 Green Chilies
½ teaspoon salt
One teaspoon red chili powder
One to ½ Teaspoon Black pepper
One Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Ingredients for Kochari Dough
Two cups All-purpose flour(Maida)
Half Cup Ghee
½ Teaspoon Salt
Water
Ingredients for Kachori Making
Ghee
Dry All-purpose Flour
Cooking Instructions for Kochari Filling
Fry 1/2 kg boneless chicken pieces in a Pan
Add one spoon of red chili powder
Add one spoon of Garlic powder
Add one spoon of Black Pepper
Add the salt to taste
You can use a wooden spoon to make the chicken in small pieces
Now add onions cut in small cubes
Now add chopped green chilies
Mix all the ingredients and cook
Now add chopped Cabbage(Band Gobi)
Cook until all the ingredients are tender
Put the Kachori filling in a bowl so it gets cool
Preparing the Kochari Dough
Add two cups of Maida(All purpose flour) in a bowl
Add a half teaspoon of salt(Or to taste)
Now add a half cup of GHEE
Mix it with hands
keep mixing until the ghee is mixed
Now add little water to prepare the perfect dough
Preparing PARA for Chicken Kochari
Make small balls(para) of Dough
Now use a roller to make perfect round roti shape
Now brush the Ghee on roti
Now fold the roti to from all four sides make the square shape
Brush and sprinkle some dry flour
Prepare this shape for all the kachori
Preparing the Kochari Shape and Frying
Now take the square shape PARA and use a roller to make a round shape to fill the Kachori
Add the kachori filling in the center
Use fingers to seal the kachori sides
Now prepare all the kachoris with this technique
Make the perfect POTLI shape
Heat up the oil in a wok and add a small piece of roti piece to check the heat
Add kachoris in the wok
Make sure that oil is not too hot otherwise it will burn the kachori.
Keep frying on low to medium heat
Now change the kachori side
Fry kachori until it turns golden in color
Once Kochari is ready to Put the kachori in a serving dish
Serve hot with sauce and Enjoy the crispy and Spicy Chicken Kachori
