Chicken Nihari Recipe | Easy &Thick Chicken Nihari

Chicken Nihari is a very popular dish in all the sub-continent, especially in India and Pakistan. Nihari is world wide famous desi dish mostly served in breakfast in desi families and also commercially at restaurants. Nihari can be made by any type of meat like mutton,beef, or chicken. Today we are sharing our special Chicken Nihari recipe. Try it at home and enjoy it with Naan or roti.
Ingredients:
- Chicken with skin (Half)
- Ginger paste (powder) 1tbs
- Garlic paste (powder) 1tbs
- Salt 1tsp
- Chili powder 1tsp
- Garam Masala 1tbsp
- Nihari Masala 1tbsp
- Onions 2 medium
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Lemon(sliced),Ginger(sliced),Green chillies(chopped) for Garnishing
- Flour 3tbs
Method To Prepare Chicken Nihari:
Slice the onions fry till brown and crispy in half a cup oil and put aside.
Cut large pieces of Chicken along with skin. In a wok fry the chicken pieces in half a cup of oil.
Fry the chicken till it turns golden brown. Then cover the wok with a lid so the chicken cooks well on medium flame.
After 5 minutes add ginger, garlic, and all the spices(except nihari masala) and mix well.
As all spices are fried for 2 mints add 2 mugs of water. Then make a paste of fried onions in a blender and add them.
Let all the ingredients cook for 5-10 minutes. Now mix the flour in half a cup of water make a paste and add it to the wok keep cooking to get a thick texture.
In a separate pan take 3 spoons of oil add nihari masala and wait till the oil starts boiling.
Add this oil to the nihari and cook till everything is merged well.
Garnish with ginger,chillies and lemon.
