Chicken Pickled Meat Balls (Chicken Achari Kofta) Recipe
Meatballs are made from different types of meat. In this particular recipe, we are using chicken mince. You can prepare this recipe with beef mince or mutton mince too. Chicken Pickled Meat Balls /Chicken Achari Qofta has thick gravy with lots of flavor in chicken meatballs. You can prepare this recipe for lunch, dinner, or any special event.
Ingredients required to prepare Chicken Pickled Meat Balls / Chicken Achari Kofta
1. Mince (1/2 kg)
2. Ginger garlic paste (1 tbsp)
3. Salt (to taste)
4. Onion (1)
5. Poppy seeds (Khashkhash) (1 tbsp)
6. Red chili Powder (1 tsp)
7. Roasted gram (Channy bhuna) (2 tbsp)
Ingredients required to prepare Gravy for Chicken Pickled meatballs / Chicken Achari Kofta:
1. Yogurt (1 cup beaten)
2. Ginger and Garlic paste (1 tbsp)
3. Onions (2 chopped)
4. Salt (to taste)
5. Red chili powder (1 tsp)
6. Coriander (1 tbsp)
7. Cumin seeds (1 tbsp)
8. Fenugreek seeds (methi) (1 tsp)
9. Black seeds (kalonji) (1 tsp)
10. Fennel seeds (sonf) (1 tsp)
11. Cooking oil
Cooking Instructions:
Chop onions, green chilies, green coriander, ginger garlic, poppy seeds, and roasted gram.
Mix all these in the mince and put it in the refrigerator.
For Gravy:
Take a pan and put some oil in it. Put chopped onions in oil and fry for 4-5 minutes till light brown.
Now put ginger garlic powder in onions and stir for 2 minutes now add yogurt and red chili powder. Grind all spices and add them to the gravy.
Make small balls of the mince and put in the gravy let the balls cook in gravy on low flame do not cover the pan.
Shake the pan with the help of a cloth do not use a spoon too much otherwise meatballs will break.
Cook for 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked. Then add one cup of water and let it boil. Once the gravy gets thick remove the pan from the stove dish out and garnish with ginger and coriander.
Serve hot with roti or Naan
