Nan Khatai Biscuits Recipe(Original Recipe )
Nankhatai is a type of biscuits which is very popular in India and Pakistan. The word Nankhatai is derived from the Persian language which means Naan meaning bread and “Khatai” from a Persian word meaning Biscuit. Nan Khatai biscuits are also popular in Afghanistan and Iran where they are called Kulcha-e-Khataye. In this post, we have included the original recipe of the making of NanKhatai Biscuits.
Ingredients for Nan Khatai
Maida (White Flour)one and a half cup
Half Cup Ghee
Two tablespoon Desi Ghee(Clarified butter)
One Egg Yolk
Suji (semolina) Two Table Spoon
½ tsp Green Cardamom Powder
Suger (Powder)3/4 Cup
Cooking Instructions
1-In a Bowl mix Maida and Suji.
2-In a bowl, add Ghee, desi ghee, sugar powder and mix it well until it becomes like cream.
3- Now, mix Green Cardamom Powder in ghee and sugar mixture.
4- Now, Mix slowly add the maida and suji in the mixture and mix well.
5-Get a baking tray.
6-Make small biscuits shape and place them in a baking tray
7-Brush all the Nan khatai Biscuits with egg york
8- Now, Bake in Oven for 15-20 minutes at 180-degree centigrade.
